Job Description:
Join an award-winning program at a college committed to service, civic engagement and reciprocal community partnerships. Assist the Director in supporting a growing number of student-driven service projects and social action initiatives; a life experience program to introduce first year students to service and civic responsibility; community partners looking for committed volunteers to make a substantive difference in the community; and a series of dialogues designed to foster community-building and civic leadership skills.
Recruit, market, and facilitate student-driven service and community action initiatives, by providing guidance, resources, and leadership development while modeling inclusiveness and collaboration.
Assist the Director in the project management of the life experience programs for students.
Collaborate and support student leaders and their service initiatives.
Organize and advise the student-run Alternative Spring Break Service Trip.
Assist in managing the general operations for the department including hiring and supervising student staff and serving as the primary departmental representative in the Director's absence.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree and 2 - 4 years of full-time experience in the advising and College student service programs or other relevant volunteer services projects. Proven project planning, budget management skills, and demonstrated knowledge of youth leadership development are required. Experience with alternative spring break trips and advising tutoring program a plus. The successful candidate will have the ability to multitask, enjoy working in an open environment and be a self-starter.
