Job Description:
Champlain College invites applications for a Program Director to launch and grow new Bachelor's and Master's Healthcare Management Programs offered through the Division of Continuing Professional Studies (CPS). This entirely online program will be offered to adult students throughout the region and nationally. To learn more about our current programs see http://extra.champlain.edu/cps/.
Oversee the course development phase of the program to develop effective, high quality graduate and undergraduate online programs.
Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate part-time, on-line faculty.
Ensure program stays current and relevant to students entering the healthcare management field.
Develop and maintain an active relationship with members of the northern New England healthcare industry.
Participate in CPS and campus-wide academic meetings and committees.
Work closely with CPS admissions advisors, student services professionals, and our marketing team to recruit and retain students.
Stay current with online education best practices, as well as with the changing trends in the healthcare industry.
Requirements:
Requirements:
A Master's degree in a healthcare-related field
5-10 years of progressive industry-related experience
Background in education or training
Strong interest in online education and capacity to learn best practices
Preferred Requirements:
A Ph.D. in a healthcare-related field
5-10 years of progressive industry-related experience
Experience in higher education
Experience in online education
Additional Information:
This position is a 12- month academic administrative position. The successful candidate will be faculty ranked and will teach as time permits once the program is fully developed.
Although the Healthcare Management Program is offered online, the Program Director's office will be on campus. Therefore the successful candidate will need to relocate to the Burlington, Vermont area.
