Job Description:
The individual in this role will become a member of a hard-working Human Resources team of six. The primary focus of the position is to provide administrative support for our recruiting and hiring processes. Responsibilities include:  
 
-Timely and accurate applicant and new hire correspondence (using applicant tracking system)  
-Training others on use of applicant tracking system  
-Input and tracking of background checks  
-New hire documentation  
-Oversight of on-line onboarding system  
-Job postings (internet, advertisements, etc.)  
 
The Sr. Coordinator also has responsibility for inputting and updating employee information (address changes, degree information, etc. in our HRIS system (Datatel), and maintaining organization charts. Our colleague in this role will provide administrative support to the department (proof read documents, process invoices, meeting logistics, etc.) and will supervise students who work part-time in the department. Event planning skills will be used to organize staff/faculty recognition events, coordinate employee informational meetings, new employee orientations and employee training events.  
The successful candidate will also assist with payroll & benefits as needed. Occasional overtime is required.

Requirements:
A two or a four-year degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience plus at least four years of administrative experience is required. An excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, Outlook) as well as experience working with a database or HRIS (such as Peoplesoft) is also required. Must have an aptitude for proof reading, being detail-oriented and accurate, and be able to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion. Excellent communication and organization skills as well as a desire to strive for process improvements and efficiencies are key for success in this position.
